This month, Orchard Alliance congratulates Main Street Alliance Church in Manahawkin, New Jersey, which just celebrated eight years of fruitful ministry. Orchard partnered with Main Street in 2017 as it launched its ministries in a facility for which Orchard provided a loan decades earlier. The facility is now buzzing seven days a week with church activities, outreach events, and gatherings the church has graciously offered to host—often weekly—for community groups that need space to meet.

In 2017, a small team from Building on The Rock Church (Manchester, NJ) joined forces with King of Kings Community Church (Manahawkin, NJ), a congregation that had endured years of challenges and was nearing closure. Together, the two churches trusted that God wasn’t finished and believed He could bring renewal and hope. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary—a transformation the church now calls “The Miracle at Main Street.” What began as a step of faith grew into a thriving church family, deeply rooted in God’s Word and united in His mission.

Below are just a few highlights from Main Street’s February 2025 newsletter.

This month at Main Street, we celebrated eight years of God’s faithfulness, recognizing that everything we have—our time, talents, and resources—is His gift. We have seen eight years of salvation, restoration, and transformation. What an honor and a privilege! God is building His Kingdom through us. Through prayer, discipleship, and intentional living, we surrender these blessings to His purpose, trusting that His plans are greater than our own.

We are grateful for the support of so many people, churches, and partners here, there, and everywhere, including the Metropolitan District and Orchard Alliance—and, of course, our Main Street family! There’s no place we’d rather be, and we could not do what we do without you!

After-School and Mentoring Program

The Main Street Mentor Program connects older high school and middle school students with our elementary students from church and also from the community, acting as role models for the next generation. Through fun weekly meetups, we hope to build lasting connections where they can learn the Word of God and grow in their faith together.

Open Arms

Main Street is more than just a “Sunday service” church. It has become a household name in the community, known for its events, impactful children’s programs, and warm, inviting atmosphere. God has brought together a diverse group of people to make the church a reflection of His kingdom. The congregation is multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-generational—home to Haitian families, Spanish-language services, and people from many nations who have found a place to worship together. It has also welcomed exchange students from around the world, creating opportunities to share Christ’s love across cultural boundaries.

“This is who we strive to be,” say the church leaders, “a community that celebrates diversity and extends the love of Jesus to everyone. No matter who you are or where you’re from, you are welcome here, because we believe God’s love is for everyone. Our goal is to open doors of opportunity for people to encounter God in real and meaningful ways—whether it’s through programs for children and youth, support for families, or spaces where people from all generations can connect and grow.”

Orchard Alliance thanks our investors for making ministries like this possible for Kingdom-minded Alliance churches throughout the United States. Your investments fund the loans that enable and empower churches like Main Street to gather lost sheep and shepherd them into fully devoted disciples of Jesus.
