The fourth quarter of 2021 is upon us. It’s hard to believe that in a mere 90 days, we’ll be ringing in another New Year. As I look back over the past nine months, I’m thankful for what the Lord has done through faithful investors like you. Your investments have funded church growth, expanded ministry reach around the world, and impacted the Kingdom. As you enter the last three months of 2021, there is still time to do immeasurably more with what God has entrusted to you.

The last quarter of the year is a good time to think about your charitable giving. Not only can you receive excellent tax benefits for the year, but you can also bless ministries at year end when many need it most. There are many giving options available to you. Here are a few to consider:

Gifts of Stock

By donating your appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other securities to a church or ministry through Orchard Alliance, you can avoid the capital gains taxes that would be required if you were to sell those securities and donate cash. In addition, your gift of securities qualifies for a charitable tax deduction.

IRA Gifts

If you’re 70½ or older, you can make charitable gifts directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Gifts can be made in any amount up to $100,000 per person, per year. To receive tax benefits for the current year, make sure your gift is received before December 31.

Charitable Gift Annuities

If you’re 65 or older, a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a great way to make a gift to the ministries you care about while, at the same time, creating a steady income stream for life. CGAs are easy to set up and offer attractive rates, making them a popular giving and retirement tool for Christians.

These are just a few of the giving options available to you. Orchard Alliance is here to walk with you on your stewardship journey and provide the tools and resources you need to achieve your giving goals. I pray you will be richly blessed in these last three months of 2021 and that you will prayerfully consider how you can impact the Kingdom through your year-end charitable giving.
