You’ve supported your church, The Alliance, and ministries you love for years. Now, in retirement and on a fixed income, continuing your support may seem more challenging. However, with planned giving, you may have more options than you ever thought possible.

A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a great way to make a gift to the ministries you care about while creating a steady income stream for life. CGAs are easy to set up and offer attractive rates, making them popular tools for people age 65 and older.

“We have always loved giving to ministries. On a fixed income, we didn’t think we could give like we have in the past. But, our latest gift to The Alliance also pays us income for life.”

Simply make a gift of $10,000 or more in cash or securities in exchange for a non-revocable gift annuity agreement. Your payment rate will be based on your age(s) at the time you make the gift. You will receive a tax deduction for your gift, and part of your payments may be tax-free. At your death, the amount remaining in your CGA will be given to the organization(s) you chose.

If you’re over 65, with appreciated assets such as real estate or stock, a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) may be the right solution. With a CGA, you receive a tax deduction today for the full amount of your gift and you’ll receive income for life. The current annual payout rates are 4.2% to 8.6%, based on your age.
