Dear Fellow Investors and Friends,
Alliance District Superintendent David Linn recently wrote a piece that I really liked entitled, “Smart Farming.” He describes how the farmer must be smart and diligent in preparing the soil by cultivating and watering, but in the end has no idea how plants actually grow: “he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.” (Mark 4:27, NASB) Linn applies this thought to church plants, and church and Kingdom growth.
Having worked with many churches over the years at various ages and stages of growth and health, including my own, I understand and agree with his point. He says there is such a thing as smart farming and its opposite. There are ways to give plants a boost so, as God causes growth, they grow better.
It struck me that this is what ADF does. We provide a way to help churches and the Kingdom “grow better” by providing strategic places for growth to happen. The growth and the glory are God’s and always will be.
Thank you for helping Alliance churches grow better in the care of our Lord by investing in them through ADF.
